My Story

Running the 2024 London Marathon has become a personal mission, and here's the heart of it: I'm running for The Royal Free Charity, recognising the critical work they do, especially in the face of NHS underfunding.

The Royal Free Charity isn't just a charity; it's a lifeline for many. TRFC is the only NHS charity in the UK providing a hospital-based welfare rights and benefits advice service for patients, enabling access to the financial and community support needed as a result of illnesses. But let's be real – the NHS is stretched thin, and it's crucial to lend a hand where we can.

My decision to hit the pavement is not just a fitness journey; it's about channelling support towards the ongoing treatment of some of the most vulnerable patients. Donations will make a tangible impact, helping bridge the funding gap and ensuring that those in desperate need receive the care they deserve.

So, as I prepare for the marathon, each step is a stride towards making a difference in the lives of those who rely on the Royal Free. It's a run for a cause, any donations big or small will push towards alleviating the strain on the healthcare system, and a commitment to supporting the most in need patients.
