My Story

I will be running the London Marathon 2024 in April. When I first signed up to run for Stroke Association it was in support of my Grandad. However, now it is in loving memory of him who passed away 1/11/2023.

Since 2018, when he had his first stroke, he suffered multiple more resulting in him being bed bound as unable to walk. From witnessing him in that condition and seeing him still smiling, joking and avidly watching the football, I had a great desire to raise money and awareness for Stroke. After his recent passing I am so determined to make him proud and fundraise for such a great cause, which is now more than ever so dear to my heart.

Strokes themselves have impacted my family greatly not only because of my Grandad, but my Uncle suffered from a Stroke at 43 years old and has managed to recover well. Whilst my Nanna's Partner also suffered from one earlier this year.

So any donation big or small would be hugely appreciated by not only myself and my family but every family affected by Strokes.
Thank you xxx
