My Story

My beautiful Grandma has been living with Alzheimer’s for some time now and witnessing her gradually slip away has been the greatest heartbreak I have ever experienced. She is the most kind hearted, generous, beautiful person you will ever have the pleasure of meeting and she truly is sunshine personified. In honour of her, and all those who have been so cruelly touched by this horrifying disease, I am running the london marathon in 2024 to raise money for Dementia UK.

For anyone who knew me in school, you’ll know I was as non-athletic as you could get: I was consistently in bottom set for PE and one year I went to the Glee live concert at the O2 rather than attending Sports Day. Training to run a marathon is my biggest challenge yet but it’s all worth it for this amazing cause.

Dementia UK is an incredible charity that offers support for the whole family of those who have dementia and Alzheimer’s, guiding them through this evil and often unpredictable disease. They also offer a free dementia helpline at  0800 888 6678 for anyone looking for information or advice, offering support from their dementia specialist Admiral Nurses.

I know times are really tough at the moment but if you have anything to give I would truly be so so grateful. Thank you so much for your support xxx
