My Story

London Marathon here I come again! 

I had so much support in 2021, I wanted to raise more awareness and raise more money for young people living with sight loss. 

I was diagnosed with macular dystrophy around 15 years ago now and I know first hand how much sight loss impacts everyday life. My condition worsened over several years, eventually taking my central vision in both eyes and I am now registered blind, but it's ok because I have amazing support around me!!!! Life can be tough when you can't do everyday activities that many take for granted, and the work that LOOK UK do is just incredible. The support and understanding they offer to young people and their families is priceless and when I run the race in April, I'll be thinking of this amazing charity to keep me strong on the day! 

Thank you to my friends and my amazing other half, Dan, for running with me this year. We are in it together!!
