My Story

I am proud to say that I am running the 2024 TCS London Marathon for Outward Bound!

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity, dedicated to unlocking the potential in young people aged between 9 and 25. Through outdoor pursuits and adventures, young people are challenged, encouraged to change their perspective, and most importantly, believe in themselves.

Through residential courses, they equip young people with a stronger sense of belief, ability to cope better with stressful situations and interact positively with others. They develop the attitudes, skills and behaviours young people need to make positive changes in their lives.

A key aspect of Outward Bound is that they never let financial circumstances get in the way, with 80% of young people receiving some level of financial assistance to attend a course. Growing up, I was lucky enough to be able to go on outdoor activities, many of which I truly believe helped me to become who I am today. I feel passionately that every young person should have these opportunities available to them, and so your donations here will help to provide this, making a huge impact to young people's lives.

In May 2023 I spent a week in Ullswater with Outward Bound, assisting with one of their secondary school courses. As such, I have experienced the incredible work they do first-hand. Within a week, I saw visible changes in the young people on the course, and without the help of Outward Bound, its sponsors, and donation givers, these young people would not have had those opportunities.
