My Story
Hi all back in 2016 as most of you know My Mum got struck with cancer and later that year sadly passed away in December that year.
It was a very sad time for me and my family. If it was not for the team of great team of people at WELDMAR HOSPICECARE not sure how we would have got though this period, not only did they support my mum before she sadly passed but supported the whole family after and for this, I am truly grateful.
Since this time, I have been looking to do something to raise money for the charity so they can help other families in a similar situation.
As you all know I am a runner and have been for over 3 years now so I thought what a great way to raise money for the charity and so I put my name down on there list to run the London marathon in their name.
So last week the 5th of September not only is it my lad’s 13th birthday, but I got the call that the charity chair had meet to discus who they would like to represent the charity in the London marathon 2024.
To my Delight my name was chosen to be one of the fortunate people to represent the team at Weldmar Hospice and for this I am truly grateful and could not think of a better charity to run this for.
So now between now and next year will be asking everyone to support me in raising as much money as possible for this great charity, I will be running lots of events and challenges for myself over the next year. To hopefully raise lots of money so other families can get the same support the Team at Weldmar gave me and my family.
Many thanks.
And look forward to seeing you all at one of the events planned in due course.
