My Story

Hi, thanks for taking a look at my fundraising site.

We lost my father-in-law Roger on Christmas Day 2023, after a year fighting lung cancer. He was a loving father, father-in-law, and grandfather to our girls and we loved him. This year we've needed the help of many brilliant NHS teams. LOROS were there for us and Roger when he couldn't  manage at home and needed admission. The team at Loros were brilliant and quickly got on top of his symptoms, cared for him and helped establish a care package for him to return home.  The brilliant nursing team continued to visit him for his last months, enabling him to die peacefully at home with family by his side.

I love to run and it's my time to think, reflect and recover.  This year it feels important to run for a bigger reason so I'm running Paris Marathon on 7th April and London marathon on 21st as a double challenge in aid of Loros.
