My Story

As many of you know (or maybe you don't)

I am running The London Marathon  on April 21st 2024 .  I've left the fundraising until late this time . I feel very conscious that you have all been so amazingly generous in the past in raising a phenomenal amount of money , for life saving research into Epilepsy in Ella's memory .

This wonderful run  continues to be a very difficult challenge for me and even more of a challenge since turning the big 5-0 !!

In 2023, I deffered my place due to a foot injury .  recovered from that and then in October , I dislocated my shoulder ,so out again , butafter a frustrating recovery period. I am back, determined and hopefully ready, to take on the challenge, of running each and every step of the 26.2 miles in memory, of our much loved and dearly missed daughter Ella 💜
For 2024 I wanted to take the fundraising in a slightly different direction ,while Epilespy Reseach Insitute ,is and will always be have our support and financial contributions, while they are continuing to do amazing reasearch work and programs , thanks to you and your amazing donations in Ellas name .We are so proud .

I knew this year, I really wanted to focus on more local organisations and the smaller charities that so desperatedly need our help locally and more importantly, helped us and greatly enhanced our wonderful daughters short life .

We are beyond thankful to the team at Mainctryre that provided support and love ,over her educational journey but  for the amazing  educational , respite and fun opportunities that came from that kind of support  .Prom Night ,something we never thought Ella would have ,and opportunity to attend COLLEGE .......Can you imagine our joy? Ella attending Abingdon & Witney College ,as part of Macintrye's No Limits programe . -She LOVED it .

I want other local children /young adults/ friends of Ella's and ours to have these opportunities too -They deserve every opportunity, however due ,to the contant cuts in funding for these programs ,so many young people are going without these opportunites and many other opportunites ,limited placements ,staff shortages, funding issues the list goes on .

Any small donation will all help loads , My hope with this and all fundraising efforts is to continue doing good to keep Ella's legacy shining in a positive way .

This marathon will be dedicated to 2 gorgeous girls

Ella Greaney & Liberty Baker 💜💜

I will be joined on the starting line  by Liberty's Mum Maureen who is taking on the streets London for the first time , which will make this run very special for many reasons . 💜💜

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and ANY donation will be so appreciated

Forever grateful to our wonderful & supportive friends & family
