Camila Negron
My Story
My name is Camila, I'm 26 years old and I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico - but have been living in London for three years. I will be running the 2024 London Marathon in memory of my dad, Dr Dennis Negrón.
Dennis was an incredible person who loved music, food, travel, but most importantly his job. My dad was a Nephrologist (specialized kidney doctor), who dedicated his entire life to his profession and patients.
Whilst my dad was taken from us too soon, I have been trying to find ways to honor his memory and support his life's work. Therefore, running the 2024 London Marathon will not only be a personal challenge, but it will also be an opportunity to raise money and support the cause that he dedicated his life to.
Every step I take and every penny I raise will be helping Kidney Care UK be there for people affected by kidney disease. Whether you donate 50p, £1, £10, or even £50, it will mean the world to those living with kidney disease. Every £1 is a pound closer to my target in achieving this in memory of my incredible father and for kidney patients who are currently facing this disease.
Currently, over 3.5 million people are diagnosed with kidney disease with 68,000 of these in kidney failure and 30,000 receiving dialysis treatment.
Thank you so much for visiting my page and donating - any support is highly appreciated. Let's hope I can do the marathon justice for you dad x
