My Story
**Update**
I now have my race number (68783) and you can track me here https://results.tcslondonmarathon.com/2024/?pid=search
I am in blue start wave 18 and due to start at about 11.20. I think it should take me approximately 6.5 hours to finish!!
Excitingly, and nerve-rackingly, I have committed to running the London Marathon. This will be my very first marathon (and lets be honest, probably my last). However, my journey isn't just about completing the race; it's about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
I am running in support of the National Autistic Society, a charity that tirelessly advocates for the 700,000 autistic individuals and their families across the UK. Their comprehensive efforts, whether it's establishing specialised schools, championing for improved rights, or providing essential training to foster autism-friendly environments, are dedicated to transforming lives and reshaping societal attitudes.
As a Cub Leader and School Governor, I am acutely aware of the challenges that young neurodiverse individuals encounter daily. Witnessing these struggles firsthand has fueled my determination to support this cause and contribute to the betterment of their lives.
Your support would mean the world to me and, more importantly, to the countless individuals and families whose lives will be positively impacted by your generosity. Your sponsorship will not only propel me across the finish line but also fuel the invaluable work of the National Autistic Society.
