My Story
Around 18,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Parkinson's each year. Last December (2022) it happened to me. This was a blow I hadn't expected. Even though the condition has no effect on life expectancy, it is a degenerative disease with as yet no cure. Parkinson UK were there to give me information and support so I did not feel alone or that the future was so dim and uncharted. I learnt about the best ways to hold the symptoms at bay. Exercise, dancing and sport, along side daily meditation. I also met other sufferers who were able to share their experiences.
So I will be running the London marathon next April with the aim of raising money for Parkinson UK so they can continue to support others and fund research into a cure.
we hope you are able to help us achieve our goal.
Thank you
