My Story

This is the second time I will face the challenge of the London Marathon! and I am once again raising money for a charity that is very important to me - The Back Up Trust.

Back Up support and inspire people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life. I know that to be true, as it was Back Up's Scottish Outreach Team Leader (at the QEU Hospital) who gave me the confidence to push myself again following my spinal stroke in 2019.

For over 30 years, Back Up have helped people and their families to rebuild their independence through practical services challenging the perceptions of what’s possible and increasing skills and confidence.

Today, Back Up are at the forefront of helping people adjust positively to spinal cord injury – because the support is provided by people who have been there and can understand what you are going through.

Please support me in raising funds for this fantastic charity and every £££ raised will help Back Up to deliver their courses and mentoring support but it also motivates me during these next few months of training and of course on the big day - 21 April 2024.

Thank you very much for your support

Christopher
