My Story

Hi,   I am an ordinary women in her 40's who took up shuffling around the block as a way to escape the family during lockdown. Since then my beautiful daughter became diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes which is an incurable illness and will be with her for life....well unless ...the clever people in the world can find a cure. JDRF fund some of these clever people and are working towards a cure, early detection and on-going treatments and they are making great progress.

Elsie is an amazing child and deals with her illness everyday without much fuss or bother and is so excited about her future regardless of her condition. As a parent you will do anything to help your kids , they wouldnt give Elsie my pancreas so I thought the next best thing would be to keep raising money for a great charity that maybe just maybe will find a cure. 

 I'm sure with all Elsie's and your support I shall manage to get to the finish line and complete the gruelling 26.2 mile run.

I know times are hard but if you could donate it would be greatly appreictaed. My training is well underway and I have recently completed two half marathons (not back to back) and managed to finish without keeling over. 

JDRF are great chairty that have made real progress in the past few years  lets help them to keep going.
