My Story

Hello and welcome to what is going to be my 9th marathon and 4th London Marathon running for charity. Although my first marathon in my 40's....

The other and more important reason for partaking in this event is to support the amazing charity Breast Cancer Now and the great work that they do. Current statistics say that in the UK around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed every year and 1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime!

For people who do not know, Hannah (my wife), was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2019. It was the worst time of our lives and there have been many struggles physically and mentally. While Hannah is fantastically nearly 4 years clear the struggles and battles we face are ongoing and support to eradicate this disease needs to continue.
