Mr Mason and Ormiston SWB Academy’s fundraising page for Cancer Research

My Story

In 2023 Ormiston SWB Academy lost one of our family members when Alexen Henriquez lost his battle with Cancer. Having arrived as an amputee, Alexen was a bundle of joy and his positive outlook on life was an inspiration to us all.  In his memory our Principal Mr Mason will be running the London Marathon to help raise money for Cancer research.

Having lost his own father to Cancer when he was 15, Mr Mason, like many has experienced the effects of this terrible illness and as an Academy we want to contribute to ending this for good.

Our Academy will also be undertaking numerous fundraising activities such as non uniform days, cake sales and the first ever SWB 'Race for Life', involving all of our pupils.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime*, which is why we are raising money for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

Every single pound you donate makes a difference, so please sponsor us now and together we will beat cancer.
