My Story

Last year, I ran my first half marathon and this year I have decided to go one further... THE ACTUAL LONDON MARATHON.

In June 2022 my incredible Grandad spent the last few weeks of his life at the Hospice. He was so grateful for all the kindess he received, and we couldn't have been more grateful for the team and the support and memories they gave not only to him, but to our wider family.

A small moment whilst in the hospice meant at one time were sat eating ice cream sitting in the gardens with the sun shining down on Grandad's face whilst tucking into cherries (from the farmshop next door, his favourite!) and ice cream with his dog Charlie visited and was curled on the bed. A small snippet of our journey shared, but there were many more memories which will be treasured for a lifetime.

I am passionate about raising money for the Hospice in the Weald so that many more families get to spend their final moments with their loved one just like we did.

This is why I am challenging myself to complete the London Marathon. I will be training whilst working as an intensive care doctor and this will incredibly challenging with the rota, but I want to push myself to acheive something I never thought I would acheive, and the only way I will do this, is to do it for a cause that has a part of my heart.
