My Story

A keen, if aging, triathlete and less-than-swift runner, I have never attempted more than a half marathon; but have begun wondering if I should try the historic distance, if only once.

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar and seemed a good choice for my one-off attempt. 

Thanks to The Southgate Sports and Leisure Trust that supports Southgate Hockey Club and Trent Park Running Club (of which I'm a member), I am running my first (and almost certainly last) marathon on 21 April 2024 - The London Marathon.

I hope you can help me to raise funds to support the Trust and the fantastic community facilities that it helps to maintain for the local community in Trent Park.
