My Story

We feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon 2024 to raise much needed funds for St John Ambulance. Having been on the receiving end of the expertise and dedication of St John Ambulance volunteers, most memorably when Deb collapsed after finishing Cardiff Half Marathon. So this has become a personal challenge that will hopefully reward SJA with some much needed donations by the generosity of willing people.

St John Ambulance is a volunteer powered, charitable organisation dedicated to the teaching of first aid, putting more life savers in our communities. They support the NHS, provide medical support at public events and administer engaging youth programmes throughout England. With nearly 45,000 volunteers and having trained nearly a quarter of a million people, I feel the UK would not survive without these essential services provided by St John Ambulance.

We never know when we will need the assistance of an organisation like St John Ambulance or even one of the many thousands of people they have trained.
