My Story

Thank you to everyone who has donated to my fundraising over the years.

Children With Cancer is a very special charity to me. Although I don't have children of my own yet, I know the heartbreak a cancer diagnosis brings to a family.

The loss of a family member, in our case our wonderful Mum RIP in 2018 due to Oesophageal cancer.

Children with Cancer UK, is a charity dedicated to raising money for research and providing care for children with cancer and their families.

Since 2008 I have really caught the running bug, and thanks to you lovely people I have raised over £31,000 for charity.

This will be my 17th London marathon, and I'm training harder than ever.

To save children’s lives, research is essential.

Childhood cancers are different to adult cancers and need their own research.

Children with Cancer UK want to find safer, more effective treatments for all young patients.

Cancer is still the most common medical cause of death in children and young people. The focus as a children’s cancer charity is to fund visionary research and bring the breakthroughs that will bring hope to children and their families.

Developing our knowledge about why children develop cancer we are gaining new insights into the genetic and environmental causes of cancer to see if prevention is possible.
Children With Cancer hope to improve the diagnosis, treatment and long-term care of children with cancer.

To date, Children with Cancer UK has: – raised over £300 million funded over 300 research projects – invested almost £10 million in family homes near hospitals – hosted ‘amazing days out’ for 75,000+ patients and their families. But there is still much more to do.

Thank you
