My Story
Thank you for visiting my page. As some of you know, my beautiful Oliver was born on 6th October 2021. He's been through a lot in his short life and has been regularly in and out of hospital since he was born. Momentum Children's charity have been incredible in their support for Oliver, for me, Emma & Jack. From support workers sitting with Ollie in his hospital cot so that I can grab a sandwich from the cafe, to trips on a River boat to create memories, they have supported us hugely. Now it's my turn to pay it back and try to raise some much needed funds for this amazing charity. Anyone who knows me knows that I ain't no Mo Farrah or Paula Radcliffe (certainly won't be reinacting her toileting habits during the marathon!). I'm currently unfit and have a long long way to go in my training for the marathon. However, if having a sick child isn't enough to help me cross that finishing line then what is! I'm doing this for Oliver, for Momentum and for all the other parents and families out there who are facing similar challenges to mine.
Whatever you can give will help to support seriously ill children and their families to cope more easily when facing a devastating diagnosis.
Thank you so much in advance, every penny really does count to help me reach my target of £12,000
lots of love,
Elin ❤️
