My Story
I have set myself a challenge to run the London Marathon with the aim of raising money to help those suffering from Meningitis. Working in the Intensive Care Unit in Newport I have cared for many patients with Meningitis and have seen the devastating effects of this awful illness.
Meningitis affects more than 2.5 million people globally each year. 1 in 10 die as a result and 2 in 10 are left with an impairment like brain injury or amputation.
Money donated will go towards investing in breakthrough research and ensuring no one faces meningitis alone. (Not to mention go a long way in keeping me motivated during the painful training period.)
