My Story

On 21st April 2024, I will be partaking in the infamous London Marathon.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am no stranger to raising funds for worthwhile causes. I have walked on fire, climbed mountains and walked many many miles, all for charity! In September last year, my colleagues and I took part in a fire walk, for the amazing charity, Brain Tumour Research. Following on from this, I wanted to give myself the biggest challenge I would EVER face, and run the London Marathon...

With 2 weeks to go, it's getting exciting. I have my race number, 27413, and I am on my last long run today of 15 miles. The wind down starts this week to save my energy for the big day.

Ii been a real journey, of highs and lows,to raise money to find a cure for Brain Tumors.

An old friend of mine, Charlotte, died from a Brain Tumor, leaving behind a son, Sebastian, 8 weeks old, and her husband, Nick, of only a year. She was 18. Please, if you can spare a little to help with the research to cure Brain Tumors, I would be so grateful.

Finding a cure would prevent tiny babies growing up without a mum, like Sebastian has, and Nick, at 18 years old bringing up a baby on his own.

If you would like to keep up with my progress please give my instagram a follow! @emmas.marathon
