My Story

I'm running the London Marathon 2024 partnering with #GuideDogsUK who provide life changing support to people living with sight loss across the UK!! 
My name is Evangeline (or Evie for short) and I'm a runner, hiker, and wild swimmer based in the Scottish Highlands. You might recognise my face from season 2 of The Traitors UK! I made it to one of the final 5, it was one of the most amazing things I've ever done, a real special moment when I ticked that off the bucket list.
But right next to The Traitors on that bucket list is the London Marathon! And how special that I get to run this iconic course for Guide Dogs UK. In normal life off TV I'm a veterinary nurse, and have seen first hand the enormous impact guide dogs have on their owners, so I'm delighted to be fundraising to support the vital work they do. 

Over the years Guide Dogs have developed a wide range of services with and without dogs to support people living with a vision impairment. Children and adults. Friends and family. Whoever you are, our expert staff, dedicated volunteers and life-changing dogs are here to help those with sight loss to live actively, independently, and well.

Guide dogs are a charity, almost entirely funded by donations, and are the world’s largest assistance dog organisation. As world leaders in puppy socialisation and dog training, they are the only organisation to breed and train guide dogs in the UK. They are also the largest employer of specialists dedicated to helping children and young people overcome the challenges of sight loss.
