Olivia Tubb - London Marathon 2025

My Story

In March 2023 my beautiful father was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. After several unsuccessful biopsies, we later found out that Dads cancer was terminal and our precious time together was running out. Me and my sister were blessed to marry our soul mates quickly so that we could share our special days with him. In September 2023 we sadly lost our hero.

Dad was an incredible fighter, he showed this throughout his life, battling severe Rheumatoid arthritis and recovering from a stroke. He was was the most caring, loving and beautiful soul.

Before training for this marathon the longest I'd ever run was a one off 10k a couple of years ago! Training for the marathon is helping me cope with my grief and I'm so grateful for my incredible sister-in-law Zoe, who has also signed up to run the marathon for Roy Castle with me.

Roy Castle are dedicated to early detection, raising awarness, research and supporting patients and carers with their Ask the Nurse Helpline. I'm running the London marathon to support all those families who face similar heartbreak.

I was due to be taking part in the 2024 marathon, but unfortunately got Glandular Fever a few months before the race and couldn't continue training. Therefore I am still using my 2024 URL/fundraising page for 2025.
