My Story

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!

I’m excited to share that I will be running the 2024 London Marathon on the 21st April to support a cause very dear to me and my family – Kidney Research UK.

In 2009, our family was confronted with the news that my Dad had been diagnosed with kidney disease. As the condition progressively worsened, we found ourselves navigating through the challenges of the condition and the impact it was having. However, we remained hopeful, and in 2017, we were incredibly grateful when he became the fortunate recipient of a kidney transplant.

The transplant marked a significant turning point in his journey with kidney disease, providing him with renewed health and a chance to embrace life more fully once again. We are immensely thankful to the medical professionals, organ donor, and support networks who made this life-changing event possible for my Dad and our family.

Kidney Research plays a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of those affected by kidney disease, and their unwavering commitment to research and support is truly inspiring. By participating in the London Marathon, I aim to raise much-needed funds for the charity while also raising awareness about kidney health and the importance of ongoing research.

Your generous donations will help Kidney Research to continue their vital work, providing hope and improving the lives of countless patients and families touched by kidney disease. Together, we can make a significant impact in the battle against kidney disease and support those on the path to better health.

I am very grateful for your support, encouragement and for joining me in this mission to give back to a cause that means so much to me and my family.

Thank you
