My Story

Finally… I have signed up to run the London Marathon 2024. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do for as long as I can remember. In the last couple of years, I have realised life is too short and if you want to do something bad enough - you have to go after it and get it done.

I have chosen to run for a great charity, Tŷ Hafan, who do outstanding work based in Barry, South Wales. This will probably be the biggest challenge of my life and I wanted to run for a local charity doing great work in my community.

Tŷ Hafan is a leading, much-loved charity that provides quality care and support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families who live in Wales.

The charity believes that no family should have to face the unimaginable loss of their child alone. With children and families at the heart of all they do, Tŷ Hafan provide free care and support in their hospice and in the community, offering a lifeline throughout the child’s short life, at end of life, through bereavement and beyond.

Any donations would be very much appreciated and gratefully received - regardless of the amount.

I will be posting regular training updates on this page (linked to my Strava) so you can see my progress and how I’m getting on.

Here it goes…. so wish me luck!
