My Story

On the 21st April I'll be running the London marathon to raise money for the DEBRA charity.

My wife and oldest son both suffer from a condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex (EBS).

EB is a rare, genetic skin blistering condition that causes the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch, resulting in incredibly painful blisters, open wounds, and excruciating itch. People with EB live in constant, debilitating pain and need our support today.

Many sufferers are young children and cannot receive hugs or cuddles from family members due to the blisters and incredible pain it causes.

Due to the low number of sufferers in the UK the charity does not receive any government funding and all funding is raised from charity work and events.

With your support DEBRA will continue to invest in the drug repurposing clinical trials that are so important to ensure that in the future there is an effective drug treatment for every type of EB. Your support will also enable them to provide an enhanced programme of EB community care and support that is vital to improve quality of life for people living with EB.

Please can you help raise well needed funds for DEBRA and sponsor my London marathon run.

I really appreciate any funds raised however large or small.

Thank you!
