Hannah Brown and my Archery Raffle
My Story
I am running (hehe, get it) an archery raffle to help raise funds so if you're here from the AGB Link, a donation of £1 will get you 1 tickets, £5 will get you 10 tickets, and £10 will get you 20 tickets. Just put your name in the notes and I'll mark your tickets up!
The Ron Pickering Fund supports up and coming young athlete financially to help them reach their potential. Those that know me know that sport has always been part of my life and I have been supported by so many people and companies along the way it's maybe time to pay a little to the next generation. So one totally nuts idea of running London before I am 50 has come to fruition and I am trying to raise some funds for the next generation of Olympians and Sport Superstars.
Information on the fund is below:
The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund made its first annual grant in 1992 and was founded by Jean Pickering and her children Kim and Shaun following the untimely death of husband and father Ron in 1991.
The RPMF has since granted several thousand small but individually significant awards totalling over £2.5 million.
This support is not only intended to help talented young GB athletes overcome barriers to their potential future development and success, but importantly help build the athletes’ confidence and self esteem through recognition.
Each year the RPMF relies heavily on donations from people who raise money by running the iconic TCS London Marathon. We call these generous contributors our “Ronners”, and they are crucial to the survival of the Fund.
