My Story

Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most of us don’t get the help we need.

This has to change and so I'm raising money for Mind to help fight mental health.

Two years ago I myself was diagnoised with Anxiety after struggling for a long time with an increasing number of panic attacks. It was through charities such as Mind, Blackdog Outdoors and the Samritians, as well as the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression that I found the help and support that I needed to control my anxitey instead of it controlling me.

However the thing that helps me the most is running. Running helps me manage my anxiety on a day to day basis and its become a key part of life now. Because of this i want to use my love of running to help raise money for Mind so they can carry on with the great work they do.

A lot of people know that I run regularly so i wanted to set myself an ulitmate challenge to work towards, to take that running one step further.

So for this challenge I will be not only taking part in the London Marathon but I will be completing 3 marathons in total

First up the Manchester Marathon on April on the 14th April (26.2 miles)

Followed by the London marathon a week later on 21st April (26.2 miles)

Finally The Lap, my first (and probably only) Ultramarathon on the 11th May (47 miles)

This will mean I will be running approx 100 miles over the 3 events

Any support would be really appreciated, I really want to be able to raise as much money for Mind as possible so they can continue to support people who need it
