My Story

I am looking to run the London Marathon for ORT UK, which seeks to make an impact through education.  The ORT global network seeks to bridge the gap between ability and opportunity while enriching the lives of young adults and teenagers both in and out of the classroom.

Programs provide access to STEAM education, job training, and global citizenship curriculum, all grounded in Jewish values.  Rooted in Jewish Values and steeped in the history of world Jewry, ORT seeks to prepare youths to lead socially responsible lives, ensure Jewish continuity, and provide opportunities that may not otherwise exist.  Having grown up with a strong identity myself, strong values, education, and utmost respect and appreciation for my history and my opportunities, I am fundraising to continue and provide the same if not more to the next generation of leaders.  I would not be where I am today without  education and opportunities that helped shape my identity, two things ORT prides itself in teaching.  By providing the opportunities we are able to instill the importance to the next generation of making positive contributions to the world around us.

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colorful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.  Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.  Over the years, over a billion pounds have been raised for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
