My Story

The London Marathon is an iconic race, and to have the opportunity to take part  this year is incredible. We're raising money for the Ron Pickering Memorial Foundation, which supports young athletes in overcoming financial barriers on their journey to success. 

Each year the RPMF relies heavily on donations from people who raise money by running the iconic TCS London Marathon, and any donation is helping to support young talented athletes. 

As well as helping them overcome barriers to their potential future development and success, the support of the RPMF importantly helps build the athletes’ confidence and self esteem through recognition.

75% of the Team GB athletes at the Tokyo Olympics (2020) had received support from the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund, and with the 2024 Paris Olympics fast approaching, many of the athletes we'll see this summer will have benefited from the support of the RPMF.
