Heather takes on London Marathon 2024
Heather Currie
My Story
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
The reason I have chosen West Sussex Mind as my chosen Charity is because they have helped support me with my mental health over the last 4 years but over the last year since being part of the social activities run group I have found a passion for running. Running helps me with my mental health not only physically but also mentally. To be running in London is a dream come true for myself. West Sussex mind have helped me when I was at my lowest and still continue to support me through tough times.
