My Story

Here I go again....

In 2023 I trained for the London Marathon and got injured on my final long run, so I deferred my place to 2024. It has been a year of rehab, slowing down and retraining. Come hell or high water, I AM running this year!

Like thousands of people, I have lived with chronic eczema all my life. Since having my three children (10,7,5) my eczema has worsened. It affects every part of my day-to-day life both physically and mentally. I'm very lucky as I do get breaks between flare ups, but for some it is constant.

A retired dermatologist once said ‘Eczema doesn’t kill you but it stops you living.’

This is so true.

The National Eczema Society is a beacon for those living with eczema; offering information, reassurance, guidance and doing invaluable research into the condition. I see NES posts on social media and it fills my heart that there is an organisation flying the flag for everyone living with eczema and their families. When my youngest daughter was diagnosed with the condition it was the first place I turned.

To say I'm bricking it is an understatement, but I am so determined to get round the London Marathon and raise money to help NES support the thousands of people out there who live day in and day out, with this life long condition.

Please, please donate and share.

What ever you can spare will spur me on as I train for the second year ina row to get round the 26.2 miles, and believe me I need all the help I can get! Massive thanks and love to all. xx
