My Story

I'm running to remind everyone that there is always hope for a better tomorrow and to raise money for a helpline available 24/7 for anyone who is struggling and needs someone to talk to.

I will be running alongside my father, Dave the Running Telephone, who will be running his 25th London Marathon in 2024. I have grown up seeing the impact his work for the Samaritans has had on many lives. I hope to follow in his footsteps and contribute to the valuable work of the charity. Every donation will contribute to the training of more volunteers to ensure that the helpline can stay up and running 24/7, 365 days a year.

I am also running in honour of my uncle who recently took his own life. I want to share the message that none of us are alone and to encourage people to talk about mental health and suicide to erase the stigma surrounding them.

Together we can stand against suicide by reminding everyone that none of us are truly alone and when you need someone, you will always be found.
