My Story

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

My name is Jason. A husband and a father of two. I work as a therapy support worker. I am a Filipino by nationality and living in the UK for the last 22 years. I am thrilled to share with you my upcoming journey of running the iconic TCS London Marathon 2024 in support of Children With Cancer UK. As someone who has always had a deep love and for sports and a passion for running, this incredible opportunity allows me to combine my personal aspirations with a cause that holds immense significance in my heart.

Running has transformed my life in more ways than I could have imagined. It has given me the strength to push through physical and mental barriers, teaching me perseverance and resilience. Through countless training sessions, early morning runs, and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement, I have experienced firsthand the incredible power of setting goals and working tirelessly to achieve them.

However, this campaign means so much more to me than just running a marathon. It is about making a tangible difference in the lives of children fighting cancer, providing them with hope, support, and the opportunity for a brighter future. Children With Cancer UK is a remarkable organization that tirelessly works towards understanding and curing childhood cancers. By participating in the London Marathon, I aim to raise both funds and awareness for this vital cause.

I am sincerely grateful for any support you can offer. Whether it's through a donation, spreading the word, or cheering me on along the marathon route, your contribution will help save lives and bring smiles to the faces of children and their families.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and give these courageous children the chance they deserve. Your generosity will forever be etched in my heart, and I will run every mile with unwavering gratitude for your support.

Join me on this incredible journey and let's make a difference together!

With heartfelt appreciation,

Jason

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
