My Story

I am super excited to be running the 2024 TCS London Marathon & fundraising for The Lincolnshire And Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance! The work they do is vital, and saves lives. They are such a huge part of the Lincolnshire community - and I've spoken to so many people, who will be eternally grateful that the amazing team were there - when they needed them most. Such a worthwhile cause.

A bit about me... I've worked for the BBC for the past 5 years - specifically in East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire - across radio, television and online. Hence why I've been lucky enough to speak to lots of incredible people who have been supported by LNAA.

Alongside my work, I am a keen runner - although if you’d have said that to me a couple of years ago, I'd have laughed! I always used to joke - if you see me running - you should run too! But during lockdown - I - like many others - took on Couch 2 5k and, after a few stumbling blocks... achieved my goal. Since then I've done the Lincoln 10k and was an emotional mess at the finish line... https://www.instagram.com/p/CkWOlowIGl3/?igshid=ODhhZWM5NmIwOQ==. I do Parkrun most weeks but I am aware this is quite the step up - and an enormous challenge - which I'm ready to go for, and put in the time, effort and training. Your very kind donations will spur me on, and ensure I lace up those running trainers, or go for a swim (cross training darling!). Roll on April!
