My Story

On the 31st of October 2018 I found out I had breast cancer. The ultimate Halloween "trick". That was followed by probably the worst Christmas present EVER, a mastectomy and when they discovered the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes, lymph node removal. Then just to really make sure all bases were covered a week after my 36th birthday the first of 6 chemo sessions that left me with not a hair on my body and, at times, the inability to walk due to the excruciating pain. 5ish years later I'm going to run a marathon...and I am determined to run the whole way. That's my goal.

Cancer was and is awful, but without the research that created the treatment options I was able to access, I genuinely don't think I would be here today. That's a really scary thing to say as a mother of two bloody brilliant girls who looked after me in ways two little girls of that age really shouldn't of had to.
So please, if you have a spare quid, I would really appreciate it

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime*, which is why I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

Every single pound you donate makes a difference, so please sponsor me now and together we will beat cancer.
