My Story

My name is Joe Joubert and I am an Integration Developer at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). The NHS is very close to my heart, both personally and professionally, so it feels natural to fundraise for UHD by running the London Marathon in 2024.

In 2017, my son was born after a prolonged labour and emergency C-section at Poole Hospital. During this time, I experienced firsthand the outstanding care, dedication, and support from all the staff that ensured a safe delivery.

My partner has also suffered regular admissions at UHD with urosepsis and surgery, where her life has been saved several times.

Therefore, I would be grateful if the money I raise could go towards maternity services and ICU. Ultimately, I want to help patients and families through some of the tough times they may experience.
