My Story

My story started in 2018 on my 17th Birthday when i collosaped unexpectedly at home. After spending the night at the hospital it was discovered that at first it was just a simple fainting episode which was caused by an irregular heart beat.

After staying in overnight it was advised to be moved to Great Ormand Street Hospital for children. During this diffcult time it was very hard for me to proccess the nature and severity of this due to the simple fact that no one really had an explanation to what was going on.

A few months had passed and one operation later, a device called a loop recorder was implanted into my chest.

The purpose of this was solely to record any further episodes. One football training session later after doing a light warm up my heart spiked. The record of this was 240bpm and my heart stopped for a total of 8 seconds during this epoisde.

1 hour later i was rushed into hospital to have an emergency operation called an Atrial Fibrillation Ablation.

Doctors found the cause of the issue which was an extra electrial tunnel causing the irregualrity of my heart palpitations.

Happily this was the end of the tramua however this affected me for many years mentally and physically.  During the time of this i wasn't allowed to take part in football, which you may think is nothing to be upset about but for a 17 year old this was my life HAHA!

The reason for raising money for Great Ormand Street Hospital is that many children suffer far worse and unimaginable things and i'm very fortunate to tell my story.

The staff were beyond amazing and their attentive care to making sure not just me and many other children were okay and keeping a smile on their face always.

So, to show my gratitude and appercation to the staff of Great Ormand Street Hosptial i've deicide to run the 2024 TCS London Marathon April 2024.

Without them, me running the London Marathon would literally not have been possible!

If you could be so kind and help donate to this amazing cause this would mean more than you know, little or massive every donation is greatly appericated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my long and boring story!

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and every day is a chance for you to make a difference.

I'm taking part in the 2024 TCS London Marathon for TeamGOSH, and by sponsoring me, you are making a difference to the lives of seriously ill children, so thank you.
