My Story

Hi everyone! I am lucky enough to say that I have been selected to represent Cherry Lodge Cancer Care to run the 2024 London Marathon. This is something I have always wanted to do and I am honoured and excited to do so on behalf of Cherry Lodge.

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is an amazing charity who show tremendous dedication to providing support, information, and therapies to people living with cancer and their families. The commitment and care provided by Cherry Lodge is truly inspiring and I am proud to be a part of their goals.

What makes running the marathon on behalf of Cherry Lodge even more meaningful to me, is that it is the very place that such a special lady, Lindsay Frelford, visited when she was going through her treatment. We sadly lost Lindsay (a.k.a. The Roast Potato Lady) in 2009 after her battle with Breast Cancer. Lindsay is a lady who inspired everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with her, her infectious laugh and massive heart made her such an inspirational woman. To be able to run this marathon in memory of Lindsay, as well as repaying everyone who would have supported Lindsay at Cherry Lodge makes this even more special to me.

With the support of generous donors and sponsors, I really hope to make an impact in helping Cherry Lodge continue the amazing work they continue to do. With each step I run during the marathon, I know that it will be one step closer to making a difference and I can't wait to get running.
