My Story

Myself and my dad are delighted to be given such a great opportunity to run a marathon for Anthony Nolan. Just before the first lockdown, my Grandma was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer known as Myelofibrosis. After many ups and downs during her treatment, my Grandma was fortunate to find a bone marrow donor and was able to have a transplant. A marathon is tough and I am ready to take on the challenge, but compared to what my Grandma has had to endure it looks like a walk in the park. Any donations given to help such an amazing charity, which has played a huge role in helping people with blood cancer, then we would be really grateful. 

Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
