My Story

Hi, thanks for making a difference by helping Hear Together to continue to do great work with deaf & hearing impaired children & adults, supporting confidence, skills & knowledge to communicate, participate & thrive.

This is my second London marathon, and 2023 was a great experience.

I've learnt lessons from last year:

• I'll get my name printed on my shirt, so I don't have to pretend I'm Dave that the crowd are shouting for
• I've told my daughters to shout "Schoemies" and not "Dad", so I hear them this year
• I'll do better in taking in nutrition, so that I don't over react and drink 2 cokes, a Lucozade and eat two gels at 32 kms year
• I'll go slower throughout, so I can actually lift my head up and see the sights and people of the last 5 kms
