Katie's Fundraiser In Memory of Emily Elliott
Katie Haseldine
My Story
On April 21st I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my friend, Emily Elliott.
Emily was one of my longest friends. We were at reception through to university together. Her passing came as a huge shock in 2019. When I remember Emily I remember a kind, down-to-earth and intelligent woman with a contagious laugh.
After speaking to her brother about what charity would be fitting to fundraiser for in memory of Emily I have decided on 'Dogs for Good. Emily was a huge lover of animals - particularly dogs - and it felt right that the charity should promote mental health and wellbeing. Dogs for Good is "a UK-based charity training dogs to help adults and children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities, children with autism and adults with dementia."
I think Emily would be really pleased to know people would support this charity in her memory. If you can spare anything - from a couple of quid to 50 or even just share this link with others - I'd be really grateful.
