My Story
In March 2020, I started running as a way of getting some fresh air and exercise. Since then, I have gradually built up my distance. Having sworn that I wouldn’t ever run further than 10K, I ran my first half-marathon in 2022 and now I’ve decided to go for my first marathon. Phab have given me the fantastic opportunity to run this year, whilst also raising some money for an important charity and the work they do. The London Marathon feels like an excellent choice to combine my love of running with supporting an important cause.
Phab has had a link to my work for a number of years. Phab inspires and supports disabled and non-disabled children, young people and adults, to make more of life together - breaking down community barriers, reducing social isolation, and creating opportunities for all involved to enjoy the same activities and challenges side by side.
Phab Clubs - There are around 130 Phab clubs over England and Wales, with 8,000 members, bring disabled and non-disabled children, young people and adults together with friends and family for all kinds of activities and social events.
Phab residential projects - These are held at fully accessible outdoor centres where everyone attending can participate in a wide variety of activities. Everyone can build confidence, the self esteem, independence and learn new practical and personal skills, whilst making friends and having a huge amount of fun.

Thank you for joining me in making a positive impact through this marathon adventure.
