My Story

I am over the moon to announce that I'm running the 2024 London Marathon with Young Lives vs Cancer.

I recently got to visit Paul's House which is one of the charities Homes from Home. The house is bang smack in the centre of London just a 6 minute walk from UCLH and 17 minutes from Great Ormand Street.

What Paul's House offers is a place for families to stay in London when a child is receiving treatment for cancer, free of charge. Many families who have a child receiving treatment lose an income to ensure that they can fully support them. This means that in a cost of living crisis, having somewhere to stay, a kitchen to make dinner in and clean bedding to get into is a massive stress taken away from parents/guardians in the most difficult time.

The cost of running a room for a night is £39, which is all taken care of by the charity. By raising this £2000 we would give a family a room for 51 nights (if I've done my maths right).

I understand it is a difficult time of year for everybody financailly, so any support you can give whether that's a donation, sharing the link or even attending on the day- would be absolutely brill!

Thank you so much x
