My Story

My little nephew was born with hearing problems and has ended up having cochlear implants fitted. Through his lifetime he will have to go through many difficulties with this but with a great family around him he will get as much help as he can but it's always something some people aren't used to seeing and that is a little child with cochlear implants.

So I want to raise not just awareness but and understanding and normalise them.

I've not run a marathon before and wanted to test myself. So I thought what great a way to do this than pushing myself to raise as much money and awareness that I can to help a great charity support and raise the awareness for children with hearing loss/difficulties.

Im hoping to get as much support as possible, so please every little helps and I'll keep running and hopefully do my little nephew proud.

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
