My Story

I can only compare my first marathon in 2023 to child birth, totally amazing yet so painful & hard work during and straight after you never ever want to ever do it again.  Then, quickly forget in the euphoria that it’s probably a bad idea and sign up for more.

In all seriousness, until I’m ready to be listener for The Samaritans, I want to continue to raise money for them.  My life, immeasurably changed that morning of 26th February 2019 (I can still remember it vividly 4 years later), and the months prior were a shock to the system of how depression can be so devastating.

Louise, was such a caring, successful and good person to have in this world, I want to raise as much as possible to ensure there’s always someone on the end of the phone whenever someone needs it.

Just £5 answers a call for help, so if you can spare even a few pounds I’d be very grateful.

Every step I take and pound we raise could help train more volunteers, answer more calls for help and, ultimately, save lives. I'm running with the official Charity of the Year for the 2024 TCS London Marathon, to show millions of people that no matter what they’re facing, a Samaritan will face it with them.

We believe in tomorrow and together we can save lives.
