My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

I'm tackling the London Marathon on April 21st, alongside my friend Sam Cartwright!

I'll be running in memory of my Dad, who received the most compassionate and expert care at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in his final weeks. The staff at the hospice are absolute heroes. They treated my Dad with dignity and kindness, making sure he was as comfortable as possible, and I'll forever be grateful for their dedication and unwavering support.

However, this incredible level of care relies heavily on donations. Less than a third of the hospice's £4 million annual running costs come from government funding, so they depend on the generosity of people like you and me to keep their doors open and continue providing this vital service.

That's why I'm running the London Marathon to raise funds for the hospice. Every penny I raise will go directly towards supporting the hospice's amazing work and ensuring they can continue to provide exceptional care to families like mine.

Whether you can donate a little or a lot, any contribution would be hugely appreciated. It will give me extra motivation during my training runs and in April and know that I'm making a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you so much for your support, both in donating and cheering me on. I can't wait to smash this challenge and honour my Dad's memory in the process.

Lots of Love

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
