Laura Manston's Fundraiser

My Story
I recently got the chance to visit Sevenoaks Samaritans and was bowled over by their dedication to supporting people at their lowest points.
The Sevenoaks team operates from a converted, mid-terrace townhouse from which they log into the national Samaritans framework to take calls and provide their vital service.
The leaders have built a strong team of volunteers who put in shifts around the clock and around the year, 24x7, providing substantial support to the national charity.
On a personal level, I lost someone very special in 2022 who could have benefitted from speaking to the Samaritans. Perhaps they did. I will never know. But I do know that there was someone they could have spoken to and I wish I had suggested that they try. Instead, I'm raising money to help the Sevenoaks Samaritans to continue being there for those who do make the call.
I could probably have found an easier way to raise some money. I do enjoy running but I've done very little of it since having my children and it's going to be quite a challenge for me to even get fit enough to train, let alone run the blimin' thing! So fear not, there will be blood, sweat and tears to make every donation worthwhile!
Please donate if you can - and spread the word that the Samaritans are there for all of us, on 116 123.
With love and thanks, Laura x
