Lauren's Fundraising Page for the 2024 London Marathon in aid of Treloar's
Lauren Harvey
My Story
Hello, my name is Lauren Harvey and I have always wanted to run the London Marathon! After completing the Winchester Half Marathon in September 2022 I became even more determined to run the London Marathon.
Last year I started working at Treloar’s and after seeing the excellent work they do for their students I thought it would be a great idea to sign up and join the Treloar Trust London Marathon team. I am fundraising for this amazing charity whilst training for the marathon. This will be my first ever marathon, I am feeling very excited but also extremely nervous!
Treloar’s is a charity committed to improving the lives of young disabled people at its school and college. They want their students aged 4 - 25 to live an independent and satisfying life as much as possible but, can’t do this alone. Each of their 170 students, who have highly complex needs, deserve the best level of support to achieve their goals – and your donations really do make all the difference.
At Treloar’s they are not interested in ‘good enough’, they want to achieve ‘outstanding’ for their students. So they rely on donations to support the vital services the students need such as specialist staff, vital equipment, adapted buildings, regular transport, extra-curricular activities and other enriching opportunities to build their independence and esteem. To provide this level of support, Treloar's must raise a minimum of £2 million a year. Your donation could be the difference the students need today.
It will be an incredible feeling knowing I have completed the London Marathon having raised my target for the amazing charity Treloar’s!
Thank you so much for all your support and any donations would be greatly appreciated!
Don't forget to look out for me on the day, I'll be wearing white and green!!
Many thanks,
Lauren
